In 1995 while driving for Contiki as a Tour Driver we stopped at Mauthausen Concentration Camp to see, learn, and not to forget the history of war and evil.
I could have taken a picture of the “Stairs of Death” that prisoners were forced to carry granite blocks up the 186 steps to the top of the quarry, but I felt this simple enough basin showed the sadness of this concentration camp and it was just one of the many in Europe.
