Why Are Speed Limits Always Ending 0?

Why do we have Speed Signs like this in New Zealand or the World?

I ask because this speed sign says 60 KPH and that’s an approximate speed.

What do I mean by this?

If it said the speed limit was 61 KPH then that’s a precise speed but when people talk with zeros on the end that’s an approximate number not an exact number.

I learnt this when working overseas and saying to the passengers that we’re leaving at 10 o’clock they some would get there around about 10 o’clock, some would get there before, some would get there 10:15 because it’s approximate time but if you said you’re leaving at 10:04 that’s a precise time and all the passengers would know they gotta be there by that time although missed the bus.
And yes, I left them behind.

I loved it sometimes with the passengers that were annoying, like tailgaters.

So if we had signs in New Zealand that sit as precise speed then more people would follow the speed limit as long as it doesn’t end in a five or zero.

It could say 62 KPH or 63KPH or even 61 KPH.

Why not precise speed?

It’s something to do with a mental capacity of humans and having rounded numbers are always approximate when having an exact number is a definite speed or number or time..

It’s simple Science.

If you do not believe then ask a psychologist about it.
